Pain point

In the processing of rubber, silicone, and related polymer materials, operations such as extrusion, internal mixing, vulcanization, calendering, and open mixing demand highly precise temperature control. For critical components such as rollers, screws, and die heads in particular, large temperature fluctuations or slow heating and cooling response can directly affect dimensional stability, surface finish, and molding consistency of the final product.

As a result, if a temperature control system cannot adapt to different materials and varying process conditions, it becomes difficult to ensure both consistent product quality and stable continuous production.

Solution (Select equipment)

To address the temperature control challenges and process requirements of rubber extrusion and related applications, AODE has introduced a customized extruder temperature control unit that can be configured according to actual production conditions, covering both oil temperature control and water temperature control applications. The oil temperature unit can meet high-temperature demands of up to 350°C, while the water temperature unit can reach up to 200°C, making the system suitable for a wide range of processing environments.

In terms of control performance, the system can maintain temperature accuracy within ±0.5 to 1°C, making it well suited for production processes with strict temperature stability requirements. For different processing stages, cascade temperature control and step temperature control can be applied to better match real operating conditions and reduce process fluctuations caused by overly rapid or uneven temperature changes.

For equipment with multiple stations and multiple temperature zones, the TCU temperature control unit combined with an integrated multi-unit design enables centralized management of multiple machines, making operation more convenient. At the same time, both local control and remote communication control are supported, allowing operators to monitor conditions in real time and perform remote operation more easily, while also reducing maintenance and operation complexity.

Effect

Once implemented, AODE’s extruder temperature control unit delivers comprehensive production upgrades for manufacturers. It helps maintain key component temperatures within a stable and appropriate range, reducing product defects and process deviations caused by temperature fluctuations, while improving product qualification rates and batch-to-batch consistency. For production lines requiring coordinated control across multiple zones, the integrated multi-unit design also simplifies system management and reduces manual operating complexity. Overall, AODE’s extruder temperature control unit not only helps improve product quality, but also enhances equipment adaptability for complex processes, providing more reliable temperature control support for industries such as tires, seals, rubber sheets, and silicone products.
